Use cases

Four jobs VeloxFactory does every day. Each one shows the situation, how VeloxFactory helps and which modules are involved.

Labels and barcodes

From ERP data or a barcode scan to the label printer.

The situation

Labels are created in the warehouse, at goods receipt or at shipping, often from several systems and with printer drivers nobody wants to touch.

How VeloxFactory helps

One template per label, data from the ERP through the API, printed straight to the label printer by the Print Service. With Scan2Print a barcode scan becomes a label, without an ERP screen.

A trading company with in-house logistics produces over 4,000 labels per day from ERP data.

Delivery notes and documents

Delivery notes, packing lists and pro forma invoices, consistent and automatic.

The situation

Delivery notes, packing lists, pro forma invoices for printing and accompanying documents should look the same every time and reach the goods without manual steps.

How VeloxFactory helps

Your ERP calls the API, VeloxFactory returns the PDF, prints it or sends it by mail. Every document can be found in the history and printed again.

Typical flow

  1. Your ERP sends one POST with the data.
  2. VeloxFactory renders the PDF from your template.
  3. The document is printed, mailed or returned to the ERP.
  4. A history record keeps request and PDF for later.

PPWR and compliance

Mandatory documents per article, from a few templates.

The situation

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requires mandatory documents per article, with a large assortment that quickly means thousands.

How VeloxFactory helps

A few templates, data from the article master, generated through the API or on a schedule.

A supplier of home and lifestyle products generates up to 12 compliant PPWR documents per article from four templates, for an assortment of about 2,200 articles.

Reports and analyses

Recurring reports on a schedule, delivered by mail.

The situation

Recurring reports are pulled and sent by hand.

How VeloxFactory helps

Data live from SQL, the report is generated on a schedule and sent as PDF or Excel by mail, every run is logged.

Typical flow

  1. A scheduled job starts the run.
  2. VeloxFactory reads the data live from your database.
  3. The report goes out as PDF or Excel by mail.
  4. The run log shows every run with its trace id.
